Our Homeschool Program was actually the brainchild of a parent who called us to see if we knew anyone who offered archery as part of a homeschool program. For us, it was an interesting idea that we had never seen anyone else tackle before. So why not? We already believe that our approach to archery education resembled a classroom setting. We already used a class syllabus so that all the coaches were teaching the same steps, in the same order. My wife is a teacher and helped me get it in a format she would use if she was teaching our classes.


We have also integrated the components of our youth development JOAD program to help participants, who wish to return, the opportunity to continue to learn and develop their archery education. A Youth Membership with USA Archery is required ($40) to earn the pin and lanyard achievements. This is optional but, these costs are not covered by partnering districts and are the responsibility of the participant.

Participants may continue to retake the regular core curriculum until they are ready to advance to the JOAD level lessons.

  • Classes are limited to 16 participants.
  • You enroll in only one session time.
  • Recommended for students Grades 3rd – 12th

Make-ups are permitted at other session times, provided the course has available space.

Class cancellations and make-up dates are at the sole discretion of Rising Phoenix Archery and may not reflect the decisions made by your home district. (Particularly in regard to snow days)

* In the event of a class being canceled, notification will be made by email and Facebook only. We do not have an auto dial message program like the district does.

If you are a participant, parent, or administrator for a homeschool program and are interested in adding archery to your education portfolio, we can do direct billing to the parent organization or sponsoring school district.

16 week Semester ($300)  or a Payment Plan (3 payments of $110 each = $330)

When registering with us online, you MUST select pay by check if your district is covering the cost of your tuition. 


Fall semester begins after Labor Day.

Last session dates  for fall 2019 are December 10th or 12 for districts that cover only 14 weeks.

Last session dates for fall are January 7th or 9th for districts that cover 16 full weeks. (No sessions December 24th, 26th or 31st. No session January 2nd.

Our range requires that all participants wear a closed toe shoe. Sandals and flip-flops, which do not enclose the toe, are not permitted for participants. Spectators are welcome to wear these types of shoes.



Tuesday classes begin September 3rd
